On 7 October 2023, thousands of Hamas terrorists breached the security barrier surrounding the Gaza Strip. By nightfall, about 1,200 people had been murdered and 251 taken hostage.

It was the deadliest day for the Jewish people since the Holocaust.

This project's purpose is to serve as a large-scale reconstruction of the day. Victims' locations and the movements of civilians, IDF forces, police, rescue teams, and Hamas are mapped against interrogations, CCTV, dashcams, bodycams, phone footage, calls, radio communications, chats, press releases, and official reports. Each source helps place events in time and space.

We remember every one of them by name. May their memory be a blessing, and may their families find comfort.
